Ten weeks in London

My name is Lucy Thompson, and I interned in the Life Sciences Practice in CRA’s London office for ten weeks. I just completed my second year at the University of Cambridge studying Biological Natural Sciences. In October I will be starting my final year, specialising in Pharmacology. I live south of London in Kent (about an hour commute), and outside of work I am a keen runner, netball player and horse rider, and enjoy travelling and spending time in the countryside. Read more >

The Internship Experience at CRA’s London Office

Having just completed my Masters in Economics, I was keen to explore the nexus between economic theory and reality - to understand how, and to what extent, I would use the rigorous theory I had studied to help solve a real world antitrust question. I was also certain that I wanted to work in an environment that would motivate me to go outside of my comfort zone while simultaneously offering me the opportunity to familiarise myself with the essential empirical tools. A guide to CRA’s London office

The Commute: CRA’s London office is based in the City of London, which is a very small city and county in East London that is recognised as a major business and financial centre throughout Europe. Given this, a lot of the staff in the London office live in East London, although others live in North, South, and West London, and a few commute in from counties such as Essex and Kent.
