The Commute: One and a half—the number of songs I can generally get through after getting in my car to head to work in the morning. One of the great conveniences of living in Tallahassee, Florida is the quick and painless access to most places. Couple that with a generous cost of living and you have a lot of options when it comes to where you rest between work. The Commute: Despite being the administrative capital of the European Union, Brussels is a surprisingly small city relative to its political importance and population size. Four subway lines, seventeen trams, and fifty bus lines serve an area smaller than DC, meaning getting around town is quick and painless without a car; even more so when all locations of interest are so close together in the city center. College Station, located about 100 miles northwest of Houston, about 100 miles northeast of Austin, and less than 200 miles south of Dallas, is home to Texas A&M University, one of the nation’s largest public universities and a proud member of the Southeastern Conference. College Station has a vibrant college sports culture and is known for its “small town feel,” despite having a population of more than 100,000 and being among the 15 fastest-growing metros in the country!

Throughout the summer, both friends and family have been persistently asking: “What are you up to, and where are you working?” It’s not exactly simple to explain what we do given the breadth and depth of all the work CRA does. So in a very poor attempt at explaining what it is we do at CRA, I try to analytically run them through our operations clients and deliverables. While my friends stare at me in confusion, I simply say as it is now custom in CRA—“We do math for lawyers.” Read more >
