The analyst onboarding experience

Fresh from graduating Wesleyan University and newly settled in Boston, I was both excited and nervous to start working at CRA as an analyst in the Finance Practice. A lot was running through my head as the start date approached—what should I wear on my first day, what should I bring, what’s the most convenient way to get to work, should I bring lunch, and the list goes on. College Station has a vibrant college sports culture and is known for its “small town feel,” despite having a population of more than 100,000 and being among the 15 fastest-growing metros in the country!

So in a very poor attempt at explaining what it is we do at CRA, I try to analytically run them through our operations clients and deliverables. While my friends stare at me in confusion, I simply say as it is now custom in CRA—“We do math for lawyers.” Read more >
