CRA Careers - Practice Areas - Financial Economics

Financial Economics

  • CRA analyzed mortgage lending practices for several lenders as part of compliance reviews by the FRB, OCC, OTS, FDIC, FTC, and HUD. We provided an assessment of fair lending risks with regard to underwriting approval decisions, loan pricing, and fees paid by consumers as part of the mortgage origination process.

  • In a consumer class action matter, CRA provided damages testimony that relied on investigations of loans to named plaintiffs, statistical analysis of mortgage pricing, and broker compensation. Following our testimony, the case settled on favorable terms.

  • CRA’s Financial Economics practice provides financial institutions, legal teams, and regulators with the experience and quantitative analysis capabilities they need to achieve their objectives in regulatory and litigation matters related to consumer finance markets.
