UK energy regulator Ofgem has decided to close its investigation into the contractual arrangements between gas producers and gas purchasers for certain North Sea gas fields. In the wake of high gas prices last year, Ofgem was concerned such arrangements might have prevented gas that was physically available from flowing to the market, thereby contributing to higher gas prices. Ofgem has now concluded that no further action is required. CRA advised Centrica throughout Ofgem's probe.
