European Commission approves the merger of Adidas and Reebok

The European Commission has announced that the Adidas/Reebok merger has been cleared in Phase One. CRA International was retained by both parties in this transaction and undertook a range of work for the merging parties, including a variety of econometric analyses. These analyses assessed the potential unilateral effects arising from the merger and in particular, whether the parties compete more closely with one another than with rivals in some sport shoes categories.
