Giulio Federico (in Barcelona and London), Diana Jackson (in London) and Rainer Nitsche (in Brussels) have been promoted to Vice President positions in CRA International's European Competition Practice.
Giulio Federico completed his DPhil at Oxford University, and joined Lexecon Ltd in 2003 following several years experience in economic consulting, becoming part of the CRA practice on its acquisition of Lexecon Ltd in 2005. He has recently moved to head CRA's developing practice in Spain. Recent cases include Sonaecom/Portugal Telecom and assignments for Centrica and EDP in the energy sector.
Diana Jackson started her career in economic consulting in 1998, having completed an MPhil in economics at Oxford. She has particular experience in merger investigations, including Airtours/First Choice and GE/Honeywell at the European Commission and Courts, and more recently Sasol/Engen in South Africa, and Centrica/Dynegy and Pan Fish/Marine Harvest in the UK.
Rainer Nitsche set up CRA's Brussels office when joining CRA in 2002, after several years in economic consulting following the completion of his PhD at WZB (Science Centre Berlin) and Humboldt University Berlin. He has provided economic advice on mergers and state aid control as well as on competition and litigation cases before the European Commission and national competition authorities. In addition, he has advised on a variety of regulation issues and auction and market design projects.
