Rameet Sangha, Principal, has over ten years' experience as an economist advising companies involved with competition and antitrust proceedings in the UK, Europe and South Africa. She has particular expertise in the financial services, pharmaceutical and mining sectors, and advises clients on the range of competition matters from mergers (planned and in progress) to sector investigations, competition litigation and Article 102/Chapter II investigations.

Cases on which she has advised include:

  • European Commission mergers and antitrust investigations: Novartis/Alcon, Pfizer/Wyeth, Lufthansa/Brussels Airlines, and Microsoft
  • UK: Lloyds TSB/HBOS and the Competition Commission market investigations into payment protection insurance, SME banking, and classified directory advertising services
  • South Africa: the Competition Commission investigation into competition in retail banking and payments systems and Competition Tribunal merger investigations (Kumba Resources/Eyesizwe Coal, Anglo American/Kumba Resources)

Rameet has an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics, specialising in industrial organisation; an MA in Economics from Cambridge University; a Postgraduate Diploma in EC Competition Law from King's College London; and has completed the London Business School Corporate Finance Evening Programme.
