In 2010, Oracle America Inc. filed a lawsuit against Micron Technology Inc. seeking damages from an alleged a conspiracy to increase the price of memory (DRAM) chips. CRA economists, including University of Toronto Professor Adonis Yatchew, advised Micron Technology in the matter and showed that the main determinants of DRAM price were industry cycles, costs of production and purchase mix, not the alleged conspiracy.
