Robert Harris, Senior Consultant to CRA, advised social networking data analytics firm PeopleBrowsr when Twitter threatened to terminate access to its Firehose data feed. CRA conducted economic analysis of restrictions on access to Twitter’s data feed and the provision of data analytical services. Because PeopleBrowsr’s core business is data analytics, terminating access to Firehose threatened its viability as a firm. The Court granted a temporary restraining order and the case was later settled, extending PeopleBrowsr’s access to Twitter’s content through the remainder of 2013.
