Annual series, teaching financial damages at MIDS – Geneva LL.M programme in International Dispute Settlement

Geoffrey Senogles completed his annual lecture series to postgraduate law students on the LL.M. [MIDS] program run jointly by the University of Geneva and The Graduate Institute.  Since 2010, Geoff has been invited to lead a “clinical workshop” series on financial damages and valuation (see page 28 on PDF below).  As can be seen in the annual report, the legal faculty of the MIDS programme reads like a Who’s Who of international arbitration; led by the program director, Professor Gabrielle Kaufmann-Kohler.  Each year, a class of between 35-40 postgraduate law students from all over the world and with varying levels of professional work experience, are ‘treated’ to an optional series of highly discursive and interactive lectures by Geoff on every lawyer’s favorite subjects – finance, accounts and valuation.  Over the years, the course has proved consistently popular with students who recognize that arbitration lawyers inevitably deal with such issues on a routine basis in their casework.
