Swiss Arbitration Academy
Geoffrey Senogles was recently invited by the Swiss Arbitration Academy in Geneva to lead a session to their class of students and discuss two topics - "Meetings between international arbitration lawyers, clients and expert witnesses" and "United Nations Compensation Commission, Geneva". In the first session Geoff spoke on how to optimise the interactions, particularly in respect of arbitration claim kick-off meetings. In the second session, he spoke on how the Commission assessed over 2½ million claims filed, with asserted losses totalling over USD 350 billion and has paid out almost USD 50 billion to date in compensation. Geoff was the only forensic accountant on staff at the UNCC (2000 to 2003) and worked on a diverse range of claims, including; large scale oil/gas sector, sovereign wealth fund, hotels, vehicle dealerships and various other commercial entities.
