When Competition Concerns Arise in Health Systems Combinations: Litigation Versus Regulation

This program discusses recent challenges to hospital and health care provider mergers. In several high-profile cases, the FTC has successfully sought to block mergers. But in other cases, State authorities have intervened to permit mergers despite the FTC’s view that the mergers were anti-competitive. The panel will look back at these recent issues, and will look forward to how the issues may play out in the Trump Administration. Gregory Vistnes is a speaker on this panel.
