Ana L. Balcárcel
Dr. Balcárcel is a principal in CRA’s Finance Practice. She works on a broad range of litigation, regulatory investigations, and other consulting matters. She specializes in applying principles of economics and finance to complex litigation matters including securities litigation, commercial disputes, and anti-trust litigation. Dr. Balcárcel works on matters involving the valuation of businesses, financial securities, and commercial contracts. In securities litigation matters, she works on all phases of the litigation, including class certification, calculation of damages, and settlement analysis. Her work spans many industries, including retail, banking and financial services, health care, technology, chemical and petroleum, and other consumer goods and services.
Prior to joining the firm, Dr. Balcárcel was an assistant professor of finance at the University of Dayton. Her research areas included corporate finance, international finance, and venture capital investments.
