David Skanderson specializes in the quantitative analysis of financial institution regulatory and litigation issues and advises institutions on their fair lending compliance management programs. He has a 15-year track record of providing practical solutions to regulatory compliance, risk management and public policy problems. Prior to joining CRA, Dr. Skanderson was with the Corporate Compliance department of Washington Mutual Bank where he was first vice president and senior manager of compliance review and analytics. There, he led departments responsible for fair lending statistical analysis and modeling, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) compliance, enterprise-wide compliance testing, and related data and systems support. He also served on enterprise committees and working groups responsible for governance of regulatory compliance, data systems, and model validation. Previously, he held senior manager positions at KPMG LLP and KPMG Consulting Inc. where he led statistically-focused projects on fair lending compliance matters and performed a variety of modeling engagements for corporate and government clients focused on Federal tax, budgetary, and regulatory policy.
