Edo Macan is an energy economist and Vice President at CRA with 20 years of experience with economic and financial issues in the energy markets. Much of his practice in recent years has been focused on providing economic consulting on market power issues for electric utility mergers and acquisitions, market-based rate authority applications, and market manipulation cases. Mr. Macan also has extensive experience with quantitative analysis of energy markets, especially in power and natural gas, with a focus on investment valuation, energy trading, and risk management. He frequently advises electric utilities and independent power producers on real options and investment decisions, valuation of energy derivatives, energy trading and hedging strategies, risk management, and market structure issues. Prior to consulting, Mr. Macan was an associate director of corporate risk management for Duke Energy.
