Erik Himan has extensive expertise in the areas of firm and asset valuation, damage calculations, assessing solvency likelihood in “ability-to-pay” and “fraudulent conveyance” claims, the evaluation/analysis of merger synergies, securities litigation, accounting, and the economic analysis of “material adverse effect” claims. He has worked across many industries, including financial services, payment cards, transportation, steel, and telecommunications, among others. He is an Accredited Valuation Analyst (AVA) of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA), a CFA charterholder, and an American Society of Appraisers (ASA) Business Valuation Level II Candidate.
Prior to joining CRA, he was an associate director at Navigant Economics, a commercial loan analyst at Bank One/American National Bank, and a technology consultant at Inforte Corp. He has also taught at the elementary and high school levels both domestically and abroad.
