Johann is a director in Marakon’s London office with engagement experience in Europe, Asia, and the US. During his 8 years with Marakon, Johann has worked on a wide array of topics including corporate and business unit strategy, inorganic and organic growth, risk management, and business turnaround. He has also worked with several businesses on B2B and B2B2C proposition development.
Johann’s industry experience spans the automotive, catering, financial services, and oil & gas sectors, but his primary focus in the last four years has been on insurance, and more specifically, Life and Health insurance.
Most recently, Johann has supported a Health Insurance and Healthcare business in its transformation towards a more long-term and value orientated enterprise. This work comprised strategic elements such as participation choices and profitability vs. growth trade-offs, technical elements such as valuation, and organizational elements such as affecting change in the team’s thinking and behavior with a view to evolving the organization’s way of managing itself.
Prior to joining Marakon, Johann has worked as a Lecturer at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
