Louis Scharringhausen specializes in eDiscovery, cyber, and digital forensic matters assisting clients and their counsel in independently responding to litigation requests, allegations of fraud, abuse, misconduct, intellectual property theft, and non-compliance. A former federal agent, he has more than 15 years of experience conducting complex computer forensic investigations including intellectual property theft, computer intrusion, unauthorized use, and eDiscovery matters. Louis is frequently called upon to present findings of analyses through expert opinion reports, affidavits, declarations, and testimony in US federal and state courts.

Louis is an EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE), a GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), and is a licensed private investigator in the State of Texas. He has spoken at the Paraben Forensic Innovations Conference (PFIC) and at High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA) chapter meetings on forensic analysis techniques. In addition, he served as a technical editor on McGraw Hill’s 2nd edition of Hacking Exposed: Computer Forensics.
