Dr. Wonjun Chang is a senior associate in CRA’s Energy practice. His work focuses on energy systems modeling and stochastic analysis.
At CRA, he develops bottom-up optimization models that help electric utilities make investment decisions. His modeling work also includes computable general equilibrium (CGE) models of the US economy that provide economy-wide assessments of shocks to the energy sector. Before joining CRA, Wonjun was an economist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) conducting macroeconomic modeling to aid the US Energy Information Administration’s International Energy Outlook.
Wonjun has given workshops for the European Union in building large-scale energy models. As an expert in uncertainty analysis, he also works with the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies in developing a stochastic climate-economy model.
