The Grid Edge refers to the broad shift we are observing in most electric grids to a more distributed and decentralized architecture that enables customers (the “prosumer”) and increased competition. There is a rapid increase in distributed energy resources – including PV, storage, EVs, and microgrids – with the expectation of exponential growth in many countries and regions. These changes will drive new electricity products, services, and opportunities for existing and new industry players.
We help companies develop strategies and analyze opportunities around the grid edge. We support utilities in evaluating their existing platforms and opportunities to engage customers with new products and services. We help other companies in the energy value chain (e.g., EV charging, community solar) to enter or grow in markets.
