In March 2026 the Paris Commercial Court ruled that Google must pay €16.2 million in damages to the French media company Amaury L’Equipe.

This judgment follows a lawsuit filed by Amaury L’équipe after the 2021 decision by the French Competition Authority found that Google abused its dominant position in the “ad tech” sector. The court found that Google’s practices harmed Amaury L’Equipe by reducing its advertising revenues caused by less competitive auctions and supra-competitive take rates.

Mikaël Hervé acted as testifying expert for Amaury L’Equipe assisted by Stéphane Sarrazin.
