Challenge: Identify new applications for client’s existing helicopter subsystem technology and assess the attractiveness of associated market segments.
Solution: CRA inventoried product-market applications by describing end-item platforms, supply chain dynamics, competitors, technology, overall attractiveness, and the appropriate fit for each segment. We identified and reviewed 20 distinct market segments associated with applications of the client’s technology and described the relative merits of each as a growth area. Four applications were ultimately selected as deserving of further pursuit.
