A nonferrous alloy manufacturing division of a large mining company was losing money and having production problems. CRA developed a turnaround strategy based on an analysis of its production problems, costs, competitive positioning, product portfolio and customer mix. We showed why the company should not divest the business, and we were also involved in key organizational changes that were necessary for the turnaround.
