A nonferrous alloy manufacturing division of a large mining company was losing money and having production problems. CRA developed a turnaround strategy for the division based on an analysis of its production problems, costs, competitive positioning, product portfolio, and customer mix. We helped the client maximize value through this strategy and showed the client s board of directors why it should not divest the business. After the development of the strategy, CRA was also involved in key organizational changes for the division that were necessary for its turnaround.
