CRA’s Forensic Services Practice was retained by Latham & Watkins to assist a private equity firm recover its losses after investing in a new portfolio company, and later discovering that the financial statements relied upon in due diligence were materially false. Jordan Kraner and a CRA Forensic Services team preserved and analyzed accounting records and digital evidence, conducted witness interviews, and prepared claims against sellers and OldCo management, as well as an insurance claim under a representations and warranties policy. The client obtained full recovery of the policy coverage.
