Situation: A prominent very light jet (VLJ) manufacturer wanted to understand the market potential for their line of VLJs.
CRA contribution: CRA estimated the potential economic impact of the manufacture and use of VLJs. We conducted client personnel and VLJ customer interviews and input/output multiplier analysis. We also investigated travel demand and developed aircraft lifecycle cost model applications.
Result: Our findings concluded that the widespread adoption of VLJs would have a significant positive effect on local and national economies. The client used this information as part of a public relations outreach promoting the introduction of their product at a major annual industry event.
