Michele Pistollato and Angelina Petrova, alongside leading international fertility experts, co‑authored a peer‑reviewed article titled “Improving access to fertility treatment in Asia Pacific: consensus from an expert forum,” published in Frontiers in Reproductive Health.

Drawing on an extensive policy review and expert consensus from nine Asia Pacific countries and territories, the authors identify key gaps in fertility policy and propose actionable solutions to improve equitable access to assisted reproductive technologies, egg freezing, and associated care. The findings underline the importance of recognising infertility as a disease and strengthening policy frameworks to better support women and families across diverse healthcare systems.

Through close collaboration with clinicians, academics, and policymakers across the Asia Pacific region, the article reflects a sustained focus on women’s health and the value of rigorous, evidence-based analysis in addressing complex, system-level healthcare challenges in diverse regional contexts.
