Joseph P. Weber
Joseph P. Weber is a tenured associate professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Dr. Weber’s research has been focused on the importance of accounting choices, specifically the role of accounting information in corporate debt agreements, auditor reputation, and the effects of litigation risk on audit quality. At MIT, Dr. Weber has taught auditing, managerial accounting, and financial accounting courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels, respectively. Dr. Weber’s expert opinion as a referee has been sought by several leading journals in accounting, and he has given invited talks at many prominent conferences and universities.
