CRA was engaged to provide expert advice for the Alberta Utilities Commission’s (AUC) Electric Distribution System Inquiry, initiated December 6, 2018, under AUC proceeding ID 24116. The inquiry is directed at mapping key issues related to the future of the electric distribution grid, to aid in developing the necessary regulatory framework to accommodate the evolution of the electric system. Report topics include: cost recovery for emerging technology investments, performance-based rates, rate setting for distributed generation, and more. CRA expert, David DesLauriers provided expert testimony before the AUC in this proceeding.
