Analysis of lost profits due to a construction delay in Mongolia

A team of CRA’s consultants assisted counsel for a real estate property management company in an arbitration related to delays in the construction of a commercial property in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

The Claimant argued that it lost profits and incurred reputational damage due to the Respondent’s construction delays.

CRA’s Dr. Tiago Duarte-Silva and Dr. Rahul Chhabra opined on the lost profits resulting from the delay. They offered expert opinions on supply and demand in Ulaanbaatar’s commercial real estate market and calculated lost profits. They were supported by a team that included Isabel Serrano Alas, Ken Morotomi, and Garrett Domaratzky.
