CRA’s economists advised counsel to several radio stations on whether copies of digital recordings made for evaluation, backup, and certain types of ephemeral reproductions, could qualify for a discounted royalty tariff. The Copyright Board of Canada endorsed the method of computing tariffs preferred by the radio stations, represented by the Canadian Association of Broadcasters. For more information, click here.
