Supply chain reorganizations in light of global trade tensions

Consumer goods companies that previously sold directly to US customers tariff-free using the de minimis rule have been forced to change their operations.

Numerous clients, including multinational sports apparel and luxury goods companies, have had to redesign their supply chains now that products sold to US customers are subject to tariffs, which can be substantial depending on the country of origin.

CRA worked in conjunction with international trade and tax attorneys at several AmLaw 100 firms to provide clients with holistic approaches to supply chain reorganizations covering both customs and tax considerations. Robin Hart assisted in the design of new transaction flows and intercompany pricing policies, which simultaneously satisfy transfer pricing and customs valuation regulations. Design and implementation phases were completed ahead of the busy holiday shopping season.
