Liz Bailey is a speaker during the Plenary Session I: Goals of Competition Law. Effective advice and advocacy require a solid grasp of the institutional, legal, and economic concepts underlying competition law. In this opening session, panelists will review the foundations of the U.S. antitrust law, discuss the evolution of antitrust goals, and explore how various goals — i.e., consumer welfare, protection of the competitive process, or fairness — affect enforcement.
