Join us for the launch of Corrupted Kingdom, the new book by Robert Barrington examining the growing threat corruption poses to Britain’s institutions, public life, and democratic processes.
In Corrupted Kingdom, Robert explores how corruption manifests across the UK – from politics and local government to policing, prisons, the NHS, and the media – challenging Britain’s long-held reputation for fairness and integrity. Drawing on decades of expertise in anti-corruption and governance, the book examines how abuses of power have become embedded within British systems and asks what can be done to restore public trust and accountability.
The evening will feature an introduction from moderator Tobias Beal, Principal at Charles River Associates, followed by a conversation with Robert exploring the themes, findings, and implications of the book, alongside audience Q&A.
Speakers:
- Robert Barrington – University of Sussex and author of Corrupted Kingdom
- Tobias Beal – Principal, Charles River Associates (Moderator)
