Maxime Cohen is a panelist during the timely session hosted by the Canadian Bar Association on artificial intelligence and antitrust that will map the evolving competitive landscape and examine how enforcement is adapting in Canada and abroad. The session will explore key features of the “tech stack” shaping competition (including data, compute, foundational models, and distribution channels) and the strategic roles of incumbents and emerging firms. Panelists will discuss the issues raised in the Competition Bureau’s publications on AI, including potential coordination risks and algorithmic conduct, access and interoperability issues, standard-setting, and self preferencing. The conversation will situate Canadian developments within the international enforcement context, comparing enforcement priorities and policy approaches across other jurisdictions.
