Maxwell Andersen is a Principal in the Brussels office of Charles River Associates’ European Competition Practice. He specializes in economic and econometric analysis, applying a wide range of quantitative techniques to competition matters across antitrust, merger control, state aid, anti-dumping, and follow-on damages cases.

Maxwell has provided economic analysis and expert evidence in proceedings before the European Commission, national competition authorities, and courts. His sectoral experience spans telecommunications, technology and large online platforms, regulated industries, trucks and passenger transport, logistics, consumer products, pharmaceuticals, agricultural products, and industrial products. His work covers the full spectrum of competition economics, including market definition, competitive effects analysis, and damages quantification.

Maxwell holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the Graduate Institute (IHEID) in Geneva, with specializations in econometrics and international trade. His working languages are English and French.
