Michael Muehlbradt is a Director in Charles River Associates’ European Competition Practice.

He has extensive experience advising clients from a wide range of industries on competition and antitrust issues and specializes in complex merger control investigations.

Since starting his career as an economic consultant at CRA in 2010, Michael has been involved in more than 40 mergers, including large global multi-jurisdictional mergers, complex merger cases at the European Commission (7 Phase II investigations) and merger control investigations at national competition authorities in numerous countries in Europe (including the UK and Germany) and around the world.

Some of the largest merger cases that Michael has worked on in the past years include HPE/Juniper Networks, Broadcom/VMware, Boeing/Embraer, Energizer/Spectrum Brands, Linde/Praxair and ChemChina/Syngenta. Other selected cases include Energizer/APS, Norwegian/Widerøe, Baker Hughes/Akastor, INEOS/BP, BorgWarner/Delphi Technologies, Connect Airways/Flybe, and Calsonic Kansei/Magneti Marelli. Michael has experience in a broad range of industries, including technology, automotive, aviation, consumer products, chemicals, industrial goods and telecoms.

In addition to mergers, Michael also has experience in cartel damages claims and cases involving anti-competitive agreements and abuse of dominance. Michael is fluent in English and German.
