On 2 March 2022, the Administrative Council for Economic Defense unconditionally cleared Microsoft’s $1bn acquisition of XandR (an online platform for the buying and selling of digital advertising). The deal was also cleared by the Cypriot Commission for the Protection of Competition in March 2022.
