CRA advanced analytics was hired by a pharmaceutical company to create an integrated database and toolbox for KOL identification, combining a plethora of publicly available web data with targeted insights from primary market research into an actionable interactive dashboard tool for the client commercial field force. Using automated web scraping tools separately tailored for research activity, professional congresses, policy-making bodies, patient advocacy, industry relationships, and social media influence, we created a comprehensive view of opinion leaders that greatly enhances primary market research results. Building on these rich data on scientific collaborations and professional engagements, we additionally integrated an interactive HCP relationship network to a comprehensive KOL profiling dashboard, which opens the door for effective KOL identification strategies and invites exploration and understanding of valuable data for the field force team.
