On 19 October 2020 the European Commission cleared the acquisition of sole control over Hermes UK by Advent International and of joint control over Hermes Germany by Advent International and Otto.
The transaction involved a limited vertical overlap in the UK between the self-service parcel lockers operated by InPost UK (a subsidiary of Integer.pl which is controlled by Advent) and the courier services offered by Hermes UK. The Commission concluded that the transaction would not raise competition concerns given its limited impact on the relevant markets.
CRA advised Advent. For more details, please see the Commission’s website here.
