On March 1, 2019, the European Commission unconditionally cleared Kongsberg’s acquisition of Rolls Royce Commercial Marine (world class ship designer and producer of engines and propulsion systems, along with other solutions and products). The Commission considered and rejected horizontal and conglomerate theories of harm arising from Kongsberg established position in marine engineering. CRA advised the Parties.
