Multinational fintech company awarded $44 million in damages

CRA’s client, a multinational financial technology company, was awarded $44 million in damages after a Cook County Illinois Jury found a software-as-a-service fintech company liable for “willfully and maliciously” stealing trade secrets belonging to our client. The verdict included $16 million in damages for the trade secret theft and an additional $28 million in punitive damages.
