CRA consultants were retained by competing photomask producers to provide economic analysis in connection with their proposed merger. Photomasks are a key tool employed in the lithographic process that is central to the production of integrated circuits. CRA consultants developed theoretical and empirical analyses of the transaction and met with the U.S. Department of Justice to explain these findings. The DOJ approved the transaction without conditions.
