For the Government of Jordan, CRA completed an extensive review of the structure of the geology-related activities of various government agencies. This involved review of and recommendations for the National Technical Standards related to mining, quarrying, exploration, research, and seismology. This study resulted in a number of recommendations to streamline existing regulatory, permitting and research related activities. A strong focus was put on mining and quarrying operations including phosphate, potash, limestone, marble, basalt, and granite to facilitate a more streamlined development and environmental mining and quarrying industry structure.
