The CRA team was retained by a hyperscaler to perform a US wide transmission assessment to establish transmission availability (headroom) for interconnection of data centers. A Data Center load outlook and supply side projection was developed for each ISO and non-ISO region and extensive power flow analysis was performed under various contingency conditions to establish availability numbers. The analysis was supported by visualization tools to show headroom at a county/transmission owner level.
