A new study conducted by Dr. Oliver Stover found that offshore wind could play a pivotal role in maintaining grid reliability as electricity demands surge across the US, particularly in winter months.
CRA hosted a discussion where Dr. Stover presented his findings on the reliability benefits of offshore wind. The webinar explored how offshore wind performed during extreme weather events, complemented natural gas and other generation resources, and contributed critical output during periods of emerging grid stress that were hard to solve with existing technologies alone.
