Ehsan Nasrolahpour
Ehsan Nasrolahpour is an associate principal in CRA’s Energy Practice. He has over a decade of experience in the energy industry and specializes in power system modeling, market analysis, and advanced analytics.
He specializes in production cost modeling, nodal market simulations, and data-driven analysis of power systems. He advises utilities, system operators, and investors on a wide range of topics including transmission planning, market design, and the integration of emerging technologies. His work focuses on economic and reliability assessments for transmission studies, as well as the development of optimization models for the operation, sizing, and siting of battery energy storage systems and renewable generation within wholesale power markets. Prior to joining CRA, Mr. Nasrolahpour held roles as a market specialist and transmission analyst, contributing to high-impact transmission and market studies.
Mr. Nasrolahpour holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Calgary and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the province of Alberta. He is also a CFA charterholder.
