Eric Simms is an associate principal in the Financial Economics Practice, specializing in consumer financial services litigation and fair lending compliance.
Eric has worked on fair lending issues relating to Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) reportable mortgages, particularly in underwriting, pricing, redlining risk, and discretionary pricing adjustments, among other areas for some of the nation’s largest lenders. Additionally, he has worked on credit scoring model validation and disparate impact testing matters, auto loan pricing, and has contributed to litigation reports on issues pertaining to discrimination and loan modification.
He has a master’s degree in Public Policy from Georgetown University and over eight years of experience in financial services regulatory compliance at Charles River Associates.
