Dr. Edwards prepared a number of reports and testified before the Federal Court of Australia in the context of allegations by the ACCC that Ramsay abused market power by refusing to provide surgeons access to one of its private hospitals if the surgeons utilised, were involved in or had an ownership interest in a rival day surgery. The Federal Court accepted Dr Edwards’ analysis of relevant markets and market power.
