CRA has provided economic assessments of competition in connection with several mergers of clinical laboratories. CRA has analyzed the degree of competition from hospital and physician-owned labs, the nature of bidding for capitated lab arrangements with providers, and the extent to which a national market exists for contracts with health plans exists.
